Pharmacy Technician
The role of the pharmacy technician is broad and requires scientific, practical, commercial, and logistical skills.
The pharmacy technician plays a crucial role within a pharmacy, a drugstore, or a healthcare facility. Their responsibilities range from managing medications and interacting with patients to handling commercial activities. The profession’s appeal has recently been enhanced by the academic upgrade of the training program and the introduction of a pathway towards becoming a pharmacist.
The DEUST (Diplôme d’Études Universitaires Scientifiques et Techniques) for Pharmacy Technician is a selective, university-level, work-study recognized at level 5 (equivalent to Bac+2). Established in 2022, it replaces the professional certification for pharmacy technicians. The program duration is 24 months.
Our school in Lyon offers this training through a partnership agreement with the Claude Bernard Lyon 1 University.
