Physiotherapists
With the aging populations, the demand for physiotherapists remains strong across all Europe countries.
With the aging population and the overcrowding of public care facilities, mobility and autonomy at home have become major issues and key factors in controlling public health expenditures. The sustained demand for physiotherapists directly stems from these underlying trends.
In France, the training is structured around a first year of university followed by four years in an Institute of Physiotherapy Training. It is a continuous program, with mandatory internship periods.
European diplomas are automatically recognized in France. However, the request to practice independently or within a medical unit remains subject to validation of qualifications by a prefectural commission.
ICOM, our school in Malta holds the status of Higher Education Institution (HEI) and offers a diploma recognized across Europe. We provide both a French and an Italian curriculum, each lasting 4 to 5 years.
To ensure our students are well-prepared for their future career and the beginning of their practice, all internships and personal projects are completed in their countries of origin. This approach also prepares students to address public health issues specific to their regions.
